Working in an already established environment and working in empty space are altogether two different ball games.
I had the opportunity to work with Full House Entertainment & Media Solutions, an advertising and social media agency working out of Pune, which had recently shifted their office from Sadashiv Peth, Pune to Prabhat Road, Pune and I had a whole new canvass to work upon.
The brief was simple: Should look like an office of a creative agency and not a corporate workspace. And this opened a whole new range of opportunities for me to work upon.
With a free hand and minimal intrusion of the client, came up with some alterations in the existing plan and had to rework a few original layouts to cater to the client’s requirements.
A meeting room, a pantry, a waiting room, a reception, a bright and airy bullpen, a sit out in the gallery with a mini library, and the most important MD’s cabin was worked and reworked upon and the final layout was locked. Each room was specifically designed keeping in mind the requirement of the room, be it the conference/film screening room, the pantry, or the reception.
Tables, chairs, benches, and the overall structure were developed in a way to provide maximum comfort to the people while enabling creative give and takes and increase productivity.
The colors and the décor was carefully chosen. We went with an antique and vintage look and hence got some odd plates and artifacts to give a raw look. A photo wall and a special ‘wall of frame’ and a unit was designed to showcase the agency’s work. Event management being one of the verticals of the agency, the lighting and some props were chosen to highlight the creativity and create a wholesome ambiance of the place making it not just an office, but a place where people would love to spend hours without ever getting tired.
As it is visible (hopefully) from the images, the job was more than what the client had expected and as per our satisfaction as well!
